BELIEVE JOURNAL

A handmade Journal I purchased but did not really like the covers. So I altered them!
A large foam stamp imprinted into Flexible joint compound, sea glass with melted Opals, Mica powders, Mica circle, paints, inks, dyed cheesecloth, bead trim. I pressed a rubber stamp into the molten Opals.
The bottom photo is the back. This I covered with hemp fibre paper, painted it with gel medium, and brushed mica powders onto it, as well as metallic colored paints.

FELTED CURVES

I started this piece with an odd shaped piece of cotton batting, to which I applied a variety of fabric paints. I then placed pieces of organza over it and felted it down. I placed wool roving here and there over the organza, felted that down, then did free-motion stitching all over, adding the flower trim. I made an image transfer onto glue-backed cotton and sewed that on. I put some medium on a piece of sea glass, 3 colors of Opals, heated it, and glued it to the bottom.

ENCAUSTIC WAX WOODEN FRAME

This is my second attempt (playing) with encaustic wax. The wooden frame is a child's learning tool. I waxed the frame, but used a medley of techniques on the wooden shapes, each one different.

FALL book spread

This is a FALL spread I am doing with the ABCanada Yahoo Group I belong to.

We each make an ATC pertaining to Fall, and send it out in the mail. That recipient has to make a spread with the ATC as the central focus.

IN THE ROUND

Here is another page in my art journal. We journalled around an image that spoke to us. The images on the right seemed to call out to me - "JOY".
